SPECIFIC INTERVENTIONS
-Provide
care to ANC Mothers and children Under 5 years to static and mobile
clinic in 6 villages.
-Provide
health education to pregnant mother and to their partners on how to
prevent disease to promote their health and care of
their children.
-Immunization
to children under 5 years and Antenatal mothers as primary prevention
of disease.
-Give
care to children with diarrhea from OPD and RCH clinic by monitoring
diarrhea treatment corner of children rehydration.
-Provision
of LLIN to ANC mothers and children under 5 years started on
03/08/2016.
-Manage
Antenatal mother and their partners on prevention of mother to child
transmission (PMTCT ) Counseling including pre and post counseling,
providing ARV according to guidelines for pregnant mothers. Checking
of DNA/PCR by taking DBS- Dry blood spot/sample from infant of 4-6
weeks of age but high risk babies are checked at birth and repeated
at 6 weeks and send to Bugando Medical Centre.
-Manage
manual data collection summarizing, compile and reporting.
-Provider
initiative counseling and test (PITC)
-Provide
Birth Registration certificate to under five years.
-Educate
and give Natural Family Planning services.
-School
Health program
The
RCH with all its different activities lacks adequate space. There are
plans to transfer it to a more spacious building elsewhere on the
premises.
